THE BALLOCHMYLE CEILIDH BAND
[CDELM4129]

THE BALLOCHMYLE CEILIDH BAND
The Ballochmyle Ceilidh Band were formed around 1987. They started as four young musicians who regularily attended Mauchline accordion club. At that time the musicians were Kenny Cumming and Malcolm Rae on accordions, David Gracie on Keyboards and Andrew Murray on drums. They got together to rehearse some material which was mainly ceilidh music at that time and thought they had better come up with a name for the band. Just outside Mauchline in Ayrshire is a little place called Ballochmyle and so the name was born.
