James Stewart and June Allyson star in this moving true story of one of the world’s great bandleaders. Trombonist Glenn Miller rose from obscurity and poverty to the big time and Hollywood in the early 1940s. International fame and wealth followed only for Miller to lose his life when his plane disappeared en-route to Paris.

Filmed in 1953, the wonderful musical score is performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra bringing the sound alive again in your living room. All his hits are featured along with many guest performances including Louis Armstrong.

An excellent film, tastefully made and running to 1 hour 47 minutes.
