This is volume one of two CDs containing a collection of recordings made in the 1970s for the Thistle of Scotland label by George Bell’s Scottish Dance Band. A busy very popular character in his home town of Blairgowrie, in addition to being a band leader and accordion tutor, George was also organiser of the Perth and Kinross Fund for the Blind, the Blairgowrie Accordion Club, the Blairgowrie Accordion Festival, the Blairgowrie Braemar Night and the Blairgowrie Highland Games.
