DOON THE WATER - DVD
[DVD82964]

£9.99

Artiste: Travel DVD
Label: BTF

DVD featuring three nostalgic films from the 50s and 60s

GLASGOW BELONGS TO ME - 1963 Is a sketch of the emotional quality of life in this great city. The Glasgow man is the product of historical tensions and the film traces his development, from the inhabitiant of a Clydeside hamlet, to the beneficiary and victim of a unique industrialisation.

THE COASTS OF CLYDE - 1959 In search of the land of his parents, as well as for a holiday, Bernard Braden comes to the Firth of Clyde. Travelling by train and steamer he finally reaches Arran and find the 'Scotland in Miniature' whence his grandmother sailed for the new world. It is a holiday of discovery illuminated with typical Braden humour.

THE LAND OF ROBERT BURNS - 1956 This is a short account of the Poet's life set among mid 1950's scenes of the people of south West Scotland as they grow from childhood to manhood. A representative selection of his songs take on fresh significance when heard against a background of the people and country he knew and loved
