Another of the classics from the 1950s which we like to bring you from time to time.
It’s World War 2 and two officers (Trevor Howard and Jose Ferrer) choose volunteers for an unknown task. The men are trained for more than a year before embarking on the most dangerous mission of the war - the canoe invasion of an enemy held French post for the purpose of blowing up giant battleships.
The quality on these old movies is really first class relying as it does on acting skills and storyline rather than today’s ‘special effects’.
