In years gone by, heavy horses were used for forestry throughout the world. They are now making a comeback as conservation groups and others revert to the more traditional methods of managing forests and woods in this country.

Filmed in Hampshire, this DVD joins a hard working team of heavy horses and owners clearing larch trees from what was originally an oak wood. This is an opportunity to see how these horses became legendary for their character, strength and endurance.
